I watched that movie called "A Perfect Storm", which I didn't really like by the way...(I have a weird aversion to "boat movies", where the boat whirls around in crazy storms or sinks), but I did get a song out of it. I just wanted to write a feel-good, rootsy rock tune, and this came out in about 15 minutes.
lyrics
Someone pray for the weather,
someone make this rain go away
Cause I know you're somewhere out there
I miss you every single day
There will be an ocean
There will be a shining sea
There will be a river wide
Oh, but nothing that could keep you far from me
If I thought that you were hurting
or lost, or even a little lonely
I would shine like no tomorrow
and guide you right back to me
Chorus
I know it may sound simple
The way I've laid it out to be
but when I go to sleep I know
it's you dreaming of me
Chorus
